STRAWBERRY SEASON IS HERE!

We are now open for U-pick strawberries on Tuesdays through Saturdays, 8am to 5pm.  The farm will be closed on Sundays and Mondays. Please call 903-474-7629 for updates on strawberry availability and picking conditions.

Our Chandler strawberries come from California and are replanted every year in October.  The weather conditions in Texas require we replant every year, but it is well worth the effort to be able to produce these big, beautiful and delicious berries right here in East Texas

BLUEBERRIES AND BLACKBERRIES

We grow mostly Rabbit eye blueberries that ripen in June.  Tifblue, Climax, Powder Blue, Brightwell and Premier are some of the most common varieties we planted for our U-Pick. We have a few early ripening blueberry bushes, called Southern High Bush, that are ripening now, but won't have large enough quantities to open before June.

Blackberry bushes have been in the process of being replanted, and they will all be thornless.  Our 2 year old bushes look great and will ripen shortly after the blue berries.  Please check with us before you come out to the farm if blackberries are all you want to pick.  Our production will be limited this year.

Did you know cultivated blackberry bushes only stay healthy and productive for 9 to 10 years?  If you push them past that time they get diseased, and can spread a virus to other plants...the same virus that causes roses to get extremely thorny and will kill them eventually.
